Life:
Hi, I’m Tracy, but for the purposes of this Blog I am Monkey’s Mummy.
I live in South East London with my husband of 20+ years, my daughter (the Monkey) and two cats.
We are currently working from home while trying to homeschool, so that’s interesting.
We kept a COVID diary last lockdown and I will share some of that with you.
Sewing:
I hadn’t sewed since school but watching The Great British Sewing Bee reignited my joy and I got a second hand sewing machine and joined a local Learn to Sew course.
I enjoyed it so much I continued to sew after the course finished, buying a overlocker (Lidl) in order to try and work with stretch fabric.
I have since upgraded my overlocker and this year made homemade Christmas presents for the second time.
I have also signed up to another sewing course so I can improve my sewing and learn more skills along the way.
I look forward to sharing my makes with you and hopefully showing you where I have gone wrong so you can avoid it 🙂
I also make cards. Something I have done for years but gave up while my daughter was small. Lockdown brought with it both the necessity and the desire to make cards rather than buy them. I had forgotten how satisfying it is to send personalised cards to people and be able to put a bit of their personality into their cards.
Health:
Well it’s not been the easiest of lives health wise. Let’s just say I know more about the inside of hospitals than most people.
That’s just a little insight into me. More will come on my blog pages. I have tried to separate the Life, Sewing and Health stuff so you can just look at stuff that interests you and if there are bits you don’t want to see you can just ignore those pages.
See you all soon 🙂
